EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION PROCESS
Fire Stop Application/Hiring Process
PLEASE NOTE: Fire Stop is currently not accepting
applications for firefighters or driver/ operators. Fire Stop is accepting
applications for Captains (Engine Bosses) Please check back for future
openings.
1. Fill out a Fire Stop application. Applications may be picked up at the Fire Stop training center (Ponderado
Campus) or downloaded from the link below. Applications should be typed or
filled out in black ink.
2. Send a copy of your resume, including current contact information for two
employers and one personal reference.
3. Include copies of all relevant Fire Fighting or Professional certifications.
4. Send a copy of your valid driver’s license and a recent (within three months)
DMV driving record.

Once this information is received applicants will be contacted by phone or mail.
Qualified applicants will be invited to an oral interview. Prior to the start of
work all recruits must provide a DOT medical examiners card.
