Fire Stop represents the next generation in Contract Wildland Fire Suppression

Our Contract Suppression Unit holds multiple contracts with various private and Government Agencies. We deploy from several strategic Fire Stop bases throughout multiple states. We are called upon frequently and fight fire alongside with and in cooperation with Federal and State Firefighters. We have been integral in protecting lives and property in some of the country’s most destructive wildfires for over 19 years. Our employees keep current on all necessary certifications to include Federally recognized red-cards and maintain a robust training schedule.

About our Private Wildfire Contracting

Fire Stop offers Private Wildland Fire Protection to serve large land owners, Tribal Lands, wineries, military land managers, forest managers, timber operations management, large utility companies, unincorporated or underserved areas and fuels management officers. We have held some of these contracts for over 10 years. Whether protecting a large private customer’s property or under Agency contract, Fire Stop respects the ICS and chain of command. Prior communication with proper authorities, sharing of protection plans, event communication, training and compliance is just the beginning to our approach for response system integration. Fire Stop does not typically contract protection services to individual homeowners.

Fire Stop is not a freelance firefighting organization. Our company has been on Federal contract with the Forest Service for 20 years.

Our employees, training, equipment and compliance are all scrutinized annually. Strict adherence to ICS practices and protocols are fundamental to any and all suppression operations. We pride ourselves on Agency cooperation in an effort to become part of the solution to any incident or fire. Our engines are equipped with Digital BK radios and MDC’s (mobile data computers) to stay in constant communication with Operations. We do not run Code 3 unless directed to by the IC, nor do we break through roadblocks or exclusion zones.

We are expanding our fleet of Type VI engines and adding a fleet of Type III’s to include mitigation equipment. All engines are professionally manufactured and maintained. All engines are gel and foam capable with medical gear on board.
